Albany, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team lost to the Falcons of Bentley University 79-75 on Saturday evening at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
Golden Knight freshman guard
Christian Pierre-Louis lead the way for Saint Rose scoring 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. 14 of Pierre-Louis' points came in the second half. He also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Bentley started the game off a 13-0 run, however the Golden Knights would fight back to go into halftime trailing 43-40.
Saint Rose took a six-point lead, its largest of the game, halfway through the second half on a full-court pass from freshman
Dante Weise to teammate Tristian Jefferies for a fast-break lay.
Weise led all players with 11 assists. Jefferies scored 18 for Golden Knights, knocking down 3-of-5 from deep.
Three-pointers from Cash McClure and Ivan Misic tied the game back up for Bentley and two free-throws from Zach Laput gave the Falcons a 63-61 lead that they would not relinquish for the remainder of the game. McClure and Laput ended the game with double-doubles.
Falcon senior guard Aaron Latham lead all scorers with 22 points, going 7-of-10 from the field. He also added five rebounds and five assists.
Freshman guard
Trey Boyd III added 12 points off the bench for Saint Rose, going 3-of-6 from behind the arc. Fellow freshman Louis Daost provided eight points, three rebounds, and two steals off the bench as well.
Saint Rose is back at home on Wednesday at 7:30 pm to take on the Adelphi Panthers.
