RINDGE, NH- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team earned a third straight Northeast-10 conference win tonight with a 104-82 road victory against the Franklin Pierce University Ravens. The 104 points for the Golden Knights is the most they have scored on the season.
Saint Rose saw five players reach double figures in their 100-point effort. Junior guard Tristian Jefferies paced the Golden Knights with 19 first-half points and finished with a game-high 22.
The Golden Knights went into halftime with a 54-49 lead over the Ravens, with Saint Rose shoot 21-of-25 from the free throw line in the opening 20 minutes.
Freshman guard-forward
Christian Pierre-Louis added 20 points for Saint Rose on 9-of-12 shooting, marking the third time this season he has reached the 20-point mark.
Golden Knight junior forward
Ata Turgut registered a double-double with 14 points and and a game-high 10 rebounds. Turgut also dished out three assists.
The Saint Rose bench provided 38 points on the night. Freshman guards
Trey Boyd III and
Adam Myers combined for 32 of those points on 11-of-16 shooting. Myers' 13 points was the most in his career.
Franklin Pierce had four players score double digits and were led by 16 points from guard Andrew Politi.
The Golden Knights shot 53 percent (37-of-70) from the floor and finished 26-of-33 from the free throw line in the win.
Saint Rose will look to make it four straight when the men return home to the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to host the Southern Connecticut State Owls on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
