WORCESTER, Mass.- The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team suffered a 54-50 defeat tonight at Assumption, with the host Greyhounds coming out on top in a battle of two teams that received votes in the most recent D2CSC national poll.
Junior guard
Syrita Faraj and sophomore guard Peyton Graber scored 13 points each to lead the Golden Knights. Graber also added seven rebounds, four assist, and five steals.Â
Junior forward
Maddisyn Mahoney logged 12 points and five rebounds, while sophomore forward
Aniya McDonald-Perry logge eight points, 10 boards, and a career-high five steals.
Molly Stokes netted 28 points to lead the Greyhounds to the win. Assumption shot 14-of-17 (82.4 percent) from the free throw line in the victory.
The Golden Knights are back home on Saturday for Hoops 4 Hope Day in Nolan Gymnasium. Saint Rose tips off at 1:30 pm versus Pace in a day celebrating cancer survivors and thrivers alongside the To Life! Foundation.
