WEST HAVEN, Conn.- The College of Saint men's basketball team dropped a 53-48 Northeast-10 Conference meeting today at New Haven.
Tristian Jeffries had 12 points and six rebounds, while the freshman duo of
Christian Pierre-Louis and
Trey Boyd III added 10 points each for the Golden Knights. Pierre-Louis was active on the defensive end as well with four of the Golden Knights nine steals.Â
The Golden Knights led 36-28 with 12 minutes remaining when the Chargers went on an 19-4 sprint over the next 10 minutes to break away and seal the win. Saint Rose struggled from the floor in the second half, as the Golden Knights were held to 7-of-26 shooting (26.9 percent) after halftime.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights next face Assumption on the road at 7:30 pm on Wednesday. New Haven is back in action as well on Wednesday night at Pace.
