ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose outlasted visiting Queens tonight in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium, with the Golden Knights earning the 3-1 victory by scores of 25-13, 19-25, 28-26, and 25-19.
Senior outside hitter
Jessica Vargas led Saint Rose with 15 kills in the victory. The middle blocker pair of senior
Julia Cavalcanti and sophomore
Teresa Moulder tallied eight kills apiece, while senior outside hitter
Juliana Venduro landed seven kills.
Cavalcanti and senior middle blocker
Karleigh Fripp registered three blocks each to lead the defensive effort. The Golden Knights finished with 10 total blocks as a team.
Sophomore setter
Alandra Hasbrouck recorded 38 assists and junior libero
Madelyn Avery lifted a team-best 13 digs to help the Golden Knights to the four-set triumph.
Saint Rose flips around to take on Pace in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup tomorrow at 11:00 am in Nolan Gymnasium.
