ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose volleyball team dropped both of its contests today at the Saint Rose Tri-Match in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
The Golden Knights began the afternoon with a 3-1 setback against Lock Haven before dropping a 3-1 non-conference matchup versus Assumption in the day's finale.
Sophomore middle blocker
Joanna Forrest recorded 11 kills, while senior outside hitter
Jessica Vargas landed nine kills in the first match of the day.
Freshman
Taylor Grady would contribute 21 assists to the Golden Knights offense while freshman
Madelyn Avery lifted a team-high 15 digs. Junior middle blocker
Julia Cavalcanti displayed her net presence, as she recorded three solo and four assisted blocks.
Forrest finished in double-digit kills once again in the second match of the day, as tallied 12 kills against the Greyhounds. Senior middle blocker
Karleigh Fripp added 10 kills, while Cavalcanti earned three more solo blocks. Grady and sophomore
Alandra Hasbrouck combined for 42 assists.
Saint Rose is back in Nolan Gymnasium again on Tuesday night to face Bridgeport at 7:00 pm.
