BASEBALL COMES UP EMPTY IN WEEKEND SERIES AT LE MOYNE

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose baseball completed this weekend's four-game set at Le Moyne with 8-4 and 12-7 setbacks. The host Dolphins outscored the Golden Knights by a 40-14 margin over the four matchups to sweep the Northeast-10 Conference series.

Senior first basemen Jack McDonald registered his fourth home run in the last five games, as he deposited a two-run blast out to left center field in game one.

McDonald and sophomore third basemen James Ward each finished 2-for-4. Sophomore shortstop Vince Venditti reached base twice as well with a pair of walks, in addition to an RBI and run scored.

Senior center fielder Ryan McGee also provided an RBI-single that plated senior left fielder Zephaniah Vaughn.

In game two, Ward scored three times and drove in a run as part of a 3-for-5 effort. Sophomore second basemen Jaden Fowler laced a three-run home run and senior designated hitter Louis Gendron drove in a pair of runs as well in the finale.

Le Moyne utilized the long ball to sweep Sunday's doubleheader, with the Dolphins recording six homers in the two wins. Sophomore catcher Wyatt Patchett was a key factor at the plate all weekend for Le Moyne, as he finished 5-for-11 with three home runs, six RBI, and eight runs scored across the four-game series.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home to host Dominican in a non-conference tilt on Thursday at 5:00 pm.  The Dolphins will stay in the NE10 to face Pace in a weekend series in Pleasantville, N.Y. beginning Saturday.
