LEESBURG, FL.- The College of Saint Rose split the afternoon at The Spring Games in central Florida. The day started with a 6-1 setback to Trevecca Nazarene before the Golden Knights claimed the game two of the doubleheader over Staten Island by the score of 4-3.
Sophomore pitcher
Isabella Milazzo helped the Golden Knights rebound for a win in the finale with 5.2 innings of three-hit ball. Freshman right-handerÂ
Anna Cleary closed out the final 1.2 innings to secure the victory.
Junior center fielder Ciana Philips, sophomore second basemen
Alexandra Deeter, junior first basemen
Madison Chandler, and freshman designated played
Maddy Bland each reached base multiple times for Saint Rose. Phillips, Deeter, and Bland provided runs for the Golden Knights as well.
Saint Rose will have an off day before returning to action on Thursday with a twin bill against Upper Iowa and Wheeling.
