GOLDEN KNIGHTS SUFFER FIRST SETBACK OF THE SEASON IN LATE LOSS AT ROBERTS WESLEYAN

ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose women's lacrosse team fell at Roberts Wesleyan 8-7 today, with Redhawk freshman attack Ella Dossier scoring the first goal of her collegiate career with 15 seconds left in the fourth quarter to cap off a second-half comeback win for Roberts Wesleyan. 

Saint Rose jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the game behind goals from freshman attacker Alex Tapia, junior midfielder Daria Bock, and sophomore attack Katy McPeak. 

Junior midfielder Deanna Ciliento would net three straight goals for the Golden Knights between the end of the first and second quarter and Saint Rose went into halftime with a 6-3 lead.  

Roberts Wesleyan outscored Saint Rose 5-1 in the second half, including the late winer by Dossier, to secure the 8-7 victory. 

Golden Knights sophomore attack Lauren Pendergast tallied a goal and an assist, while senior midfield Ashley Burns and junior attack Kaitlyn Jolly added a helper apiece. 

Fifth year attack Alexis Grant scored three times to lead the Redhawks in the victory.

The Golden Knights are back in action on Friday at 3:00 pm when they return home to Sullivan Field to Post University.
