WILSON, N.C- The College of Saint Rose baseball team took a win and a loss in the final day of competition at the Wilson Tobs Tournament at the historic Fleming Stadium. The Golden Knights rebounded to defeat Glenville State in the second game of the doubleheader after Saint Rose dropped the matinee contest to Kutztown by the score of 8-2.

Matthew Tiberia combined for five hitless innings to secure the victory in game two after senior starter
Brian Wojichowski allowed only three hits and and unearned run over the first four frames.
Senior first basemen
Jack McDonald went 3-for-4 with two runs batted in, while sophomore left fielder
James Ward finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. The pair provided Saint Rose a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first to give the Golden Knights an early cushion.Â
After the Pioneers got one back in the top of the third, McDonald sent a solo shot out to right field to bring the margin back to two. A sacrifice fly by senior outfielder
Tony Socci added an insurance run in the seventh.
The Golden Knights will have a day off before traveling to Augusta, Georgia to face Augusta University on Tuesday at 2:00 pm.
