GARDEN CITY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team closed out the 2022-23 regular season with a 82-75 setback to the Adelphi Panthers tonight.
The Golden Knights saw four players reach double-figures in the finale, led by 19 points from junior forward
Josh McGettigan. McGettigan also pulled in a game-high 10 rebounds to close the regular season with back-to-back double-doubles.
Saint Rose went into the break with a 40-32 advantage after shooting 56 percent from the field over the first 20 minutes. The Golden Knights would also score 13 points off nine first-half Panther turnovers.
Adelphi would use a 22-9 stretch in the middle of the second half to take the lead and never look back, as the Panthers lead the rest of the way to a 82-75 win. The Panthers also saw four players score in double digits, led by a game best 21 points from guard Elijah Lewis.

Latiek Briscoe finished with 18 points, while freshman forward
Max Jusianiec and sophomore guard
Keegan Zoller respectively posted 17 and points. Senior guard
Frankie Phelan added eight points, in addition to six assists.
The Golden Knights, the 12 seed in the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs, will travel to fifth-seeded Southern Connecticut State for the opening round of the league playoffs on Friday nights. Tipoff is set for 7:00 pm in New Haven, CT.
