ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team shot the ball efficiently in the first half today, giving the Golden Knights an early lead on the way to a 74-63 victory over Pace University in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
Four Golden Knights finished in double-figures in the win, led by senior forward
Makaela Johnson's 17 points and nine rebounds. Johnson finished 7-of-10 from the field, including 3-from-3 from deep.Â
Junior forward
Isabel Sanchez tallied 16 points, while sophomore forward
Kaileigh Hunt and
Lateisha Willis registered 13 apiece. Willis also led all players with 11 rebounds.
The Golden Knights converted 16-of-29 (55.2 percent) of their field goal attempts across the first two quarters to take a 44-24 advantage into the halftime.Â
The action tightened in the middle of the fourth quarter after the Setters posted an 18-4 rally to cut the margin to just six points with 3:38 remaining.Â
Saint Rose would go on to close out the victory by responding with seven consecutive points over the next two minutes.
Guard Lauren Hackett topped Pace with 17 points. Forward Tower Lorde added 12 points and nine rebounds.

Ashia Smith, Johnson, and Sanchez were all honored this afternoon as part of the Golden Knights senior day celebation.
The Golden Knights close out the regular season on Tuesday with a 5:30 pm matchup with at Adelphi. Pace is also back in action on Tuesday night at home against Franklin Pierce.
