WEST HAVEN, Conn.- The College of Saint Rose dropped a 67-54 Northeast-10 Conference matchup tonight at New Haven.
Senior forward Makaela Johnson led the Golden Knights with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while junior guard Isabel Sanchez provided eight points, two assists, and three steals.
After a back-and-forth first half ended with six lead changes between the two squads, the Golden Knights edged ahead 31-26 in the opening minute of the third quarter.
From that point forward, the host Chargers would score 30 of the next 33 points to establish a 20-plus point second-half advantage.
Forward Aurora Deshaies topped all players with 23 points and 14 rebounds while helping lead New Haven to its sixth consecutive victory.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home to host Southern Connecticut State on Tuesday at 5:30 pm. The Chargers welcome American International to New Haven for a 1:30 pm matchup on Saturday afternoon.
