Albany, NY- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team fought to the final possession in an Northeast-10 conference clash versus the Saint Michaels Purple Knights in a 78-77 duel at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium Tuesday evening.

Christian Pierre-Louis led Saint Rose scorers with a career high 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting in his first start of the season.
Saint Rose redshirt freshman forward
Alex Barnhill came off the bench and also reached a career-high in scoring, as he added 12 points on 6-of-8 from the floor.

Trey Boyd III had nine points apiece, while junior forward

Louis Daoust recorded six rebounds each. Freshman guard
Dante Weise distributed six assists.
The Golden Knights shot 62 percent (18-of-29) from the field in the first half to take a 42-32 lead into the break. An early-half rally put Saint Rose up by 14 in the second frame, however a 19-4 sprint by the Purple Knights put the action level with 12 minutes to play. The back and forth half saw Saint Michael's take the lead for good with 1:21 left. The Golden Knights had two chances trailing by one possession in the final minute, however both efforts resulted in turnovers.
Saint Michael's guard Jhamyl Fricas led all scorers with 22 points, with 20 of those coming in the Purple Knights second-half comeback.
The Golden Knights return to action on Friday, December 15th at 7:30 PM when they head to Buffalo to take on the D'Youville University Saints of the East Coast Conference.
