GOLDEN KNIGHTS POST BEST OFFENSIVE GAME OF THE SEASON IN 95-76 VICTORY VERSUS QUEENS

ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team recorded its best offensive performance of the season this afternoon, as the Golden Knights posted respective season-bests in points, assists, field goal percentage, field goals made, and three-pointers made in today's 95-76 win over Queens.

The Golden Knights shot 41-of-67 (61.7 percent) as a team to earn the non-conference victory. Junior forward Ata Turgut led a group of five Golden Knights in double-figures, as he scored a game-high 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting to top the Saint Rose attack. Turgut was 4-of-6 from three and also provided a team-high six rebounds.

Freshman guard Trey Boyd III and junior forward Nuha Sagnia each shot 7-of-10 from the floor to finish with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Freshman guard Dante Weise tallied 11 points and seven assists, while freshman forward Louis Daoust made 5-of-9 for 10 points. Boyd III and Weise snatched four rebounds apiece as well.

Saint Rose hit 70 percent (21-of-30) of its first-half shots to take a 14-point lead at halftime. The double-digit margin would hold throughout the final twenty minutes, as the Golden Knights would go on to commit a season-low six turnovers to earn a 23-0 advantage over Queens in points off giveaways.

The Golden Knights will take an 11-day break before returning at home against Staten Island on Thursday, December 28. Tip-off is set for 7:30 in the non-conference tilt.
