ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose defeated non-conference foe Roberts Wesleyan 82-34 tonight in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to move its winning streak to seven in a row.
Junior guard Syrita Faraj shot 8-of-16 from the field for a game-high 26 points. Faraj secured nine rebounds as well in the win.
Junior forward Aniya McDonald-Perry logged a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double, while junior forward Maddisyn Mahoney had nine points and nine boards.
Saint Rose received 11 points from sophomore guard Kaelah Carter and seven points and six rebounds from junior guard Ryley Blasetti.
Ranked as the best defense in NCAA Division II, the Golden Knights held the Redhawks to 14-of-59 (23.7 percent) shooting. Saint Rose also hauled in 22 more rebounds than Roberts on the evening.
The Golden Knights will head to the holiday break, with a December 30 matchup at D'Youville the next action slated for Saint Rose.
