ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team fell 82-78 to Post University today in the final day of the Saint Rose Tip-Off Tournament.
Junior forward
Tristian Jeffries poured in 21 points and seven rebounds to lead the Golden Knights, while sophomore guard
Adam Silas added 16 points and a team-high five assists in the setback. Â
A good run by Post in the final minutes of the first half allowed the visitors to take a 44-38 lead into the break. The Eagles would then score 14 of the first 21 points in the second stanza to build a double-digit lead they enjoyed throughout much of the final half.
The Golden Knights managed to close the deficit to within three in the final minute of the contest, however the Eagles would find enough success at the free throw line late to close things out.
Post owned a 15-8 advantage in offensive rebounds in addition to scoring 26 points off Saint Rose turnovers. The Eagles swiped 13 steals on the night.

Jabari Phillip Jr. grabbed five rebounds apiece, while Phillip Jr. tallied a pair of blocks for the Golden Knights. Freshman guard
Dante Weise was actively defensively as well with a pair of steals.
Looking forward, Saint Rose will head into Northeast-10 Conference play with a 3:30 pm matchup at Pace on Saturday.
