PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team suffered a last-second defeat this afternoon at Pace University, with the host Setters hitting a buzzer-beating jumper to take the 64-62 win.
Trailing by five with 27 seconds remaining, the Golden Knights received a pair of free throws from freshman guard

Nuha Sagnia logged 13 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Knights. Freshman guardÂ
Christian Pierre-Louis and Weise tallied nine and eight points, respectively, in addition to dishing out three assists apiece.
After leading by three following the opening 20 minutes, the Golden Knights would establish a 12-point lead by scoring 13 of the first 17 points of the second half. Pace would recover from its double-digit deficit however with a 27-7 run over the next 10 minutes to build an eight-point advantage with four minutes to play.
Pace struggled at the free throw line late, as the Setters only converted 5-of-12 from the stripe in crunch time to allow the Golden Knights to make a final push. Saint Rose closed the gap by making three of its final four attempts from the floor as well as 6-of-7 from the line.
Forward Bryan Powell netted 19 points to lead Pace, while Alexander and guard Chaz Harvey added 13 points each to help the Setters improve to 4-0.
