PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose women's soccer team recorded its sixth shutout in the last eight contests with a 3-0 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival Pace this evening.
The freshman midfield duo of Brielle Zink and Ashley Kieblesz accounted for all three Saint Rose goals in tonight's win.
Zink provided the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute when she touched home a cross from freshman midfielder Sydney Myers.Â
The 1-0 margin would hold firm until the early stages of the second half when Zink netted her second goal of the match on a corner kick rebound in the 52nd minute.
Kieblesz finished off a scoring sequence with 16 minutes remaining that featured assists from junior forward Mia Klammer and senior defender Sanna Rein. Â
Rein finished the night with two assists, as she also provided a helper on the second Zink goal. Â
The Golden Knights, who improved to the #3 spot in this week' United Soccer Coaches rankings earlier in the day, have outscored opponents 33-4 over the last eight matches.
Saint Rose continues on to face New Haven at 7:00 pm on Saturday in West Haven, Conn. Pace is home on Saturday to host Southern New Hampshire.Â
