COLCHESTER, VT.- The College of Saint Rose volleyball team forced a fifth set in today's Northeast-10 Conference matchup today at Saint Michael's, however the host Purple Knights claimed a 15-13 victory on the deciding final set to secure the league victory.
Sophomore middle blocker
Teresa Moulder recorded a career-best 23 kills for the Golden Knights in the setback.
Senior outside hitter
Jessica Vargas landed 17 kills, while senior outside hitter
Elizabeth Johnson and senior middle blocker
Karleigh Fripp tallied 10 kills each. Vargas also finished with four blocks, while sophomore forward
Joanna Forrest rejected three attempts.
After dropping the first and second sets, Saint Rose fought back to claim the third and fourth frames to push the action to set number five. The Golden Knights had led 11-6 in the fifth before Saint Michael's registered seven consecutive points to claim the win.

Katelyn Atchinson each registered 10 or more digs for the Golden Knights.
Both squads return with 7:00 pm matchups on Tuesday. Saint Rose will be back home in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to host Assumption, while the Purple Knights travel to Franklin Pierce.
