ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose women's soccer team fought to take a 2-2 draw against visiting Southern New Hampshire this afternoon at Sullivan Field.
With the Penmen leading with one minute left to play, junior forward
Olivia Boucher, a late substitute for the Golden Knights, buried a corner kick from graduate midfielder
Elina Seppala to provide Saint Rose the late equalizer.
After the Golden Knights maintained a 1-0 advantage for the majority of the day, Southern New Hampshire stung Saint Rose for two goals within a seven-minute span, including a go-ahead strike from senior midfielder Alyssa Anderson with 3:52 left in regulation.
Saint Rose had opened the scoring in the match's fifth minute when freshman midfielder
Brielle Zink touched home a Seppala cross to give the Golden Knights the early lead. Seppala, who provided the assist on both Saint Rose scores today, now leads the Northeast-10 Conference with seven helpers.
The Golden Knights are back at Sullivan Field on Wednesday night to continue their unbeaten campaign against American International College. Kickoff is set for 6:00 pm. SNHU is back home as well on Wednesday versus Southern Connecticut State.
