ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's soccer team took a 3-1 triumph against non-conference foe Daemen tonight at Sullivan Field.
After senior forward
Hilmar Halldorsson opened the scoring with a right-footed laser with 11 minutes elapsed in the first half, graduate forward
Jose Clemente would strike for both of the Golden Knights' final two goals.
Clemente's first goal began with a Wildcat turnover in their defensive zone and ended with the Saint Rose forward chipping a ball over the Daemen goalkeeper from 40 yards downfield. His second score was a well-placed header courtesy of a cross by Halldorsson.
Clemente would also provide the assist on the Halldorsson score to finish with a career-high five points.
With a 3-0-1 record in their last four contests, the Golden Knights will look to stay hot as they return to Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday versus Assumption. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm at Sullivan Field.
