WORCESTER, Mass.- The College of Saint Rose was defeated 66-52 today at Assumption.
Freshman guard Max Jusianiec and junior forward Josh McGettigan topped the Golden Knights with 18 and 12 points, respectively.
Jusianiec also provided team-highs of 6 rebounds and 4 assists. McGettigan grabbed 5 boards as well. Freshman guard Latiek Briscoe added 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
After a low-scoring first half ended with the Greyhounds ahead 23-19, Assumption would roll to the victory after knocking down 9-of-18 attempts from three over the final 20 minutes.
Guard Njavan Stewart lead all scorers with 28 points, while guard Isiah Stewart recorded 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the win for Assumption.
Next up, the two teams will continue conference play at 7:30 pm on Tuesday. Saint Rose returns to Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to welcome Saint Michael's, while the Greyhounds are the road at Franklin Pierce.
