ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose hosted Southern Connecticut State today for a Senior Day dual meet at Albany High.
Sophomore
James Henriques earned a pair of victories to lead the Golden Knights on the day. Henriques took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.85 seconds, in addition to earning the win in the 100 free behind a mark of 48.73. Henriques also added a second place finish in the 100 butterfly (54.42).
Sophomores Maddox Aramini and
Nathan Greene recorded victories as well for Saint Rose, with Aramini taking the 200 backstroke in 2:07.23 and Greene touching the wall first in the 200 fly in 2:04.73. Greene would also place second in the 500 free (5:08.57).Â
Sophomore
Aldemar Alikavazovic registered runner-up efforts in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes behind respective times of 59.11 and 2:13.89. Alikavazovic, Aramini, Henriques, and senior
Jacob Steen would team to win to the 200 medley relay in 1:38.75.
Senior
Laura Borrelli touched first in the 50 free (26.06), followed by a third place finish in the 100 breast (1:19.28). Senior
Emma Dumas and sophomore
Grace King each placed second, respectively, in the 200 breast and 1000 free.
Sophomore
Mia Stroub earned points for the Golden Knights women as well, as she took second in the 200 back (2:15.81) and a third in the 200 fly (2:21.03).
Prior to the day's events, the Saint Rose swimming & diving program recognized the careers of seniors
