ALBANY, N.Y. – Number-one ranked and undefeated The College of Saint Rose asserted itself throughout today's Northeast-10 Conference opener on the way to an impressive 3-1 victory against visiting Franklin Pierce, which also entered the match unbeaten.

The Golden Knights (5-0-0/1-0-0 NE10) struck twice 42 seconds apart late in the first half and went up 3-0 early in the second stanza, before the Ravens (3-1-1/0-1-0 NE10) broke up the clean sheet with 14 minutes remaining.

One of those newcomers was forward
Ella Brower who jumped on a loose ball in the area, before driving it over the goal line with her first collegiate strike to make it 1-0 Saint Rose at the 42:40 mark. Senior forward
Kaelyn Britt made it 2-0 when she got far into the area to one-time a free kick that junior back
Sanna Rein delivered from deep on the left flank.

In the opening nine minutes of the second stanza, sophomore forward
Mia Klammer lined a cross from the left side that freshman midfielder
Emilie Kristensen one-touched home for her first collegiate goal as well.

Sophomore forward Delaney Farinha then got Franklin Pierce on the board when she finished a cross off the foot of sophomore midfielder Jasmine Perez-Acosta with 75:50 expired.

Looking ahead, both sides return to league action Tuesday. The Golden Knights are on the road with a 6:00 pm league date at Saint Michael's in Colchester, Vt. Meanwhile, the Ravens host Saint Anselm at 7:00 pm.
