West Haven, Conn.- The College of Saint Rose dropped two Northeast-10 Conference match-ups at New Haven today, with the host Chargers sweeping the twin-bill by the scores of 5-0 and 4-3.
New Haven junior pitcher Selena Aponte struck out six and allowed just three Saint Rose baserunners across 7.0 innings to lead the Chargers to the five-run victory in the opener.Â
The Golden Knight bats woke up in the second game of the day, with senior shortstop
Savanna Liverio-Tyler and sophomore designated player
Alysa Houghtaling each recording multiple hits in the finale.

After New Haven notched another in the fifth inning, the Golden Knights answered with a solo home run by Liverio-Tyler in the top half of the next frame to cut the margin to 4-3.
