CALDWELL, N.J.- The College of Saint Rose was swept at Caldwell today, with the host Cougars taking the non-conference doubleheader behind scores of 13-0 and 8-0.
The Golden Knight lineup struggled in both contests, as Caldwell pitchers held Saint Rose (7-14) to just three hits in each game.
Senior pitchers Mariah Culver and Kayla Daly earned the wins in the circle for the Cougars (12-5).
Caldwell batters combined for 29 hits and plated runs in eight of nine turns to the plate across the two games.
Looking ahead, both teams return to action with league doubleheaders on Saturday beginning at 12:00 pm. The Golden Knights welcome Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern New Hampshire to the Capital Region, while Caldwell travels to Philadelphia to take on Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rival Chestnut Hill.
