GOLDEN KNIGHTS SET PROGRAM SCORING RECORD IN 20-4 VICTORY AT SAINT MICHAEL'S

COLCHESTER, VT.- The College of Saint Rose earned a 20-4 Northeast-10 Conference victory today at Saint Michael's, with the Golden Knights scoring output setting the program record for most goals scored in a single-game.

Sophomore midfield Eileen Rattigan tallied a career-high five scores and sophomore attack Kaitlyn Jolly added four goals to lead Saint Rose (6-2/2-2 NE10) in the record-breaking team performance.

The Golden Knights, who received votes in this week's IWCLA coaches poll, also received multi-goal efforts from the sophomore midfield trio of Daria Bock, Claudia Agostino, and Deanna Ciliento.

Bock netted three goals, while Agostino and Ciliento recorded two apiece. Bock also distributed a career-best five assists to round out an eight-point performance, in addition to nine draw controls.

Junior midfield Ashley Burns, freshman midfield Katy McPeak, and freshmen attacks Julia Lasher and Lauren Pendergast all added solo goals as well.

"We had a slow start but once we found our groove, we had a lot of fun. The team relied on each other and played with discipline," said Head Coach Sarah Martin. "The draw control was huge for us. Daria (Bock) was able to come up big and we had great offensive outputs from multiple people. We are playing good lacrosse going into a tough stretch of games. I'm so proud of how hard this team is working."

After Saint Michael's opened the scoring, the Golden Knights responded with four of the next five goals to build a 4-2 lead in the early moments of the second quarter. That would be the closest the Purple Knights would challenge, as Saint Rose owned 16 of the final 18 scores in the contest.

Sophomore attack Catie Murphy registered two goals to lead Saint Michael's (1-6/0-4 NE10). Saint Rose held a 33-12 shot advantage over the Purple Knights.

Looking ahead, both teams return to action with NE10 match-ups on Saturday at 12:00 pm. The Golden Knights return home to welcome #16 Bentley to the Plumeri Sports Complex, while Saint Michael's hosts #5 Le Moyne.
Notes: The Golden Knights have won four of their last five...Bock has a goal in seven of the team's eight games this season…She also has six multi-goal performances...Rattigan tops the NE10 with 18 caused turnovers.
