ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose gets the 2022 campaign underway today with the Golden Knights welcoming Dominican College to the Capital Region for a 2:00 pm match-up at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
Saint Rose returns 18 players from last spring's roster, including the sophomore quartet of attacks
Deanna Ciliento and
Kaitlyn Jolly along with midfields
Daria Bock and
Eileen Rattigan, a group that marks four of the top-five point scorers from the 2021 squad.
Bock led the Golden Knights with 25 points last year, reaching that total with 16 goals alongside a team-high nine assists. Ciliento is coming off a 21-point season in which she topped the team with 19 goals.Â
Rattigan netted 10 goals and distributed four assists, while Jolly tallied 10 goals as well in 2021.
Sophomore defender
Nicole Taveras will continue to patrol the defensive zone for the Golden Knights after ranking third in the Northeast-10 Conference last year with 23 caused turnovers.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights next face Post University in Waterbury, Conn. on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
