TROY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose swimming & diving teams were at RPI today to face the host Engineers and SUNY Oneonta in a tri-meet competition in the Robison Pool Center.
Sophomore
Mia Stroub provided the best finish of the day, when she earned a victory for the Saint Rose women in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:58.02. Sophomore
Gabbie Lupe and junior
Brenna Hayes each claimed second place finishes, with Lupe touching in 57.62 in the 100 freestyle and Hayes finishing runner-up in the 200 breaststroke in 2:38.99. Sophomore
Nickolette Nesci was right behind Hayes for third in the 200 breast in 2:44.44.
Lupe and senior
Laura Borrelli earned key points with third place finishes as well for the Golden Knights. Lupe touched third in the 200 free in 2:10.65, while Borrelli dashed to third in the 50 free with a mark of 26.62.
Stroub, Lupe, Nesci, and sophomore
Grace King teamed to take second in the 400 medley relay in 4:22.58.
For the Golden Knight men, sophomore
James Henriques finished second in 50 free sprint in 21.87. Sophomore Aldemar Alikavazovic took a pair of third place result, clocking a 50.24 in the 100 free and 2:25.22. Sophomore
Nathan Greene also claimed third in the 500 free in 5:15.18.
Henriques and Alikavazovic teamed with sophomore Maddox Aramini and senior
Jacob Steen to finish third in the 400 medley behind a time of 3:46.77.
Looking forward, Saint Rose is next in the water on Sunday in a dual meet at Le Moyne.
