GOLDEN KNIGHTS CAP ERACISM INVITATIONAL WITH 25-POINT WIN OVER D'YOUVILLE

COLCHESTER, VT- The College of Saint Rose recorded a dominant 93-68 win over D'Youville in the final day of action at the Eracism Invitational, hosted by Saint Michaels at the Ross Sports Center.

The Golden Knights went wire-to-wire in the 25-point victory, with their lead growing to as much as 34 points midway through the second half. A layup from junior forward Eric Fleming in the opening seconds of the game started things off for Saint Rose, and the Golden Knights quickly jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never look back. Fleming, one of four Golden Knights who finished in double figures, ended the game with 11 points and five rebounds.

Senior forward Juran Ligonde and sophomore forward Shane O'Dell would get to double-digits in the first half, as the pair scored 10 points apiece in the opening 20 minutes. Ligonde finished with 19 points on an efficient 7-of-8 shooting.

O'Dell would lead the Golden Knights in scoring, finishing with a game-high 20 points, in addition to nine rebounds and eight assists. In addition to O'Dell flirting with a triple double, the forward registered four blocks and two steals.

Junior forward Josh McGettigan, the hero for the Golden Knights the previous night win over Lake Superior State, was the fourth player  in double figures for Saint Rose. He scored 13 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists.

The 50 first-half points scored by the Golden Knights was the most they have scored as a team in opening frame, and the 93 total points marks the highest Saint Rose scoring output this season. 25 points is also the largest margin of victory for Saint Rose this year.

Saint Rose amassed its 93 points on one of its best shooting nights of the year, finishing 59.6 percent (34-of-57) from the field and 50.0 percent (7-of-14) from behind the arc. Ten Golden Knights found the score sheet tonight.

Sophomore guard Keegan Zoller and freshman forward Max Jusianiec had identical stat lines as both finished with eight points and five rebounds on 3-for-5 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from three-point range.

Graduate student guard Will Kondrat recorded 20 points and four rebounds to lead the Saints in the setback.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home on Wednesday to face Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Anselm. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium, following the Golden Knights women's matchup with the Hawks at 5:30 pm.
