MANCHESTER, N.H.- The College of Saint Rose was upended by an experienced Southern New Hampshire team today in Northeast-10 Conference play, with the host Penmen taking the 57-41 victory.

Nina Fedullo led the Golden Knights (3-8/2-5 NE10) with 10 points and eight rebounds, while junior
Becca Townes registered eight points. Sophomore
Naeva Rene was active defensively to record three steals and two blocks.Â
Southern New Hampshire (12-2/6-1 NE10)Â took a 32-17 lead into the halftime break after offensive struggles plagued Saint Rose from the start. The Golden Knights missed their first 16 field goal attempts on the way to finishing the first half with a 16.1 shooting percentage (5 of 31).Â
The Penmen maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half and finished the game with a 51-40 advantage in the rebound column, while limiting Saint Rose to only 14 made field goals on 68 shots (20.6 percent).
Graduate Gyanna Russell led all scorers with 15 points while graduate Meg Knollmeyer finished with a "double-double" of 11 points and 13 rebounds in the win for Southern New Hampshire. Entering today's game, the Penman team owned the top scoring pace in the conference (76.1 points per game) along with the second-best averages in rebounds (43.4) and assists (16.5). Individually, Knollmeyer ranks first in the league with an average of 12.6 boards a night.
Both squads will stay in the conference with 5:30 pm match-ups on Tuesday night. Saint Rose will be back in Nolan Gym to welcome Saint Anselm, while the Penmen travel to New Haven.
