#3 SAINT ROSE DRAWS EVEN AT FRANKLIN PIERCE


RINDGE, N.H. - The College of Saint Rose played to a 0-0 draw at perennial national power and Northeast-10 Conference rival Franklin Pierce tonight.
 
The two sides, who have now tied six times throughout their 37 meetings during the past 30 years, matched each other statistically across the box score. Each side generated six shots on goal while the Golden Knights (6-0-1/3-0-1 NE10) posted an overall 15-14 shot advantage. The Ravens (4-1-1/1-1-2 NE10) developed one more corner kick.
 
Sophomore midfielders Tatiana Leggiero and Lauren Amerena both recorded two shots on target. Meanwhile, sophomore forward Ana Crapanzano put all three of her drives on frame for the Ravens who remained unbeaten at home this fall.
 
Saint Rose fifth-year keeper Marika Laurendeau registered two of her six saves in the first OT session, while Franklin Pierce freshman Gabby Calidonio recorded three of her five stops in the opening half.
 
Looking ahead, both sides have road NE10 matches Saturday. The Golden Knights head to Easton, Mass. to face Stonehill at 2:00 pm, while the Ravens travel to Waltham, Mass. to meet Bentley.
Notes: The Golden Knights are ranked #3 in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll for the third consecutive week…Freshman forward Mia Klammer was named the organization's National Player of the Week today…She was also tabbed the NE10 Player and Rookie of the Week on Monday…Klammer entered this evening atop the conference with six goals and 13 points…Saint Rose has outscored its seven opponents by a 22-4 margin despite playing five road matches…Franklin Pierce has five national championships to its credit.
