SAINT ROSE UPENDED TWICE AT PACE

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Sophomore infielder Madison Chandler had a double, a triple and two RBI to lead The College of Saint Rose in this afternoon's Northeast-10 Conference twin-bill at Pace University. The host Setters took both ends of the doubleheader, winning by scores of 15-2 (5 innings) and 3-1.

After dropping the opener, Saint Rose got started quickly in the nightcap. Sophomore center fielder Ciana Phillips, who was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll earlier today, led off the game with a walk. Chandler doubled her home and the Golden Knights were on the board.

Pace got the marker back in the bottom half, before adding the deciding tally in the third. The Setters tacked on an insurance run in the fifth to finish off the sweep.

Looking ahead, both teams are slated to have home doubleheaders this weekend.  Saint Rose (2-6/2-6 NE10) is set to welcome Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne on Saturday and Sunday. Per Northeast-10 Conference and New York State Department of Health guidelines, NO SPECTATORS at this point will be permitted to attend any games scheduled for the Plumeri Sports Complex or on the road. Meanwhile, Pace (6-10/6-6 NE10) is scheduled to entertain Southern Connecticut State.
Notes: Phillips made the NE10 weekly honor roll after slashing 667 (4-for-6)/.714/.833 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's doubleheader at Pace...The Golden Knights will go 713 days without playing a home game...Saint Rose concluded its 2019 season on April 28 vs. Southern Connecticut State and is scheduled to play Le Moyne in its home opener on Saturday, April 10.
