ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose was upended 3-0 and 9-1 by visiting Adelphi in both ends of this afternoon's Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
Senior infielder
Savanna Liverio-Tyler went 2-for-6 with an RBI in the twin-bill to lead the Golden Knights.
Senior right-hander Ally Muller, among the league leaders in wins, ERA and strikeouts, was perfect through 6.0 innings in the opener. Down 1-2 in the count, sophomore outfielder
Ciana Phillips began the seventh with a single up the middle, but was left there. Muller fanned eight in the one-hitter to run her record to 12-2 this spring.
Adelphi (18-6/16-4 NE10) used a four-run fifth to break open the nightcap. Liverio-Tyler singled home Phillips in the first for the lone Saint Rose (3-15/3-15 NE10) marker.
Adelphi is scheduled to return to Cathy Haker Field Wednesday for a 4:00 pm twin-bill. Fans can watch the doubleheader on the
NE10NOW Network.
