PURCHASE, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose broke through late to run its win streak to five games behind today's rain-soaked 1-0 win at Manhattanville College.

Junior
Filippo Bellú accounted for the game's lone goal in the 78th minute when he drove home a corner that was delivered by freshman midfielder
Casper Rasmussen.
Â
"I was really proud of our group performance today in such difficult playing conditions. We knew today was going to be a tough game against an organized and well-coached Manhattanville team. The guys played admirably for the full 90 minutes. I was very happy with the number of chances we created in the final third, and thought defensively our shape and effort were very solid," said head coach
John Ciano.
Â
The Golden Knights manufactured a 23-5 shot advantage and a 9-3 corner kick differential. They have now outscored their six opponents 28-5 this spring.
Â
Looking ahead, Saint Rose is scheduled to visit American International Sunday at 7:00 pm and then play its final official match of the spring Wednesday versus Bryant and Stratton. Kickoff is set for 6:00 pm from Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
