COLCHESTER, Vt. – The College of Saint Rose utilized a balanced attack to defeat Saint Michael's in straight sets on the road tonight. The Golden Knights had four players record six or more kills and swung .215 as a team to take the match by the scores of 25-21, 25-23, and 25-20.

Jennah Kareem tallied six kills for the Golden Knights (8-18/2-10 NE10). The Saint Rose offense used nine different players to tally 38 kills in the sweep.
"It was a good win for the team tonight. It was a full team effort and we were able to keep control throughout the match," said head coach 
Vanessa Volpe-Rivera.
Along the back line, junior libero Gabriela Boyrie led all players with 18 digs. Freshman middle blocker 
Julia Cavalcanti and sophomore setter 
Allison Sellers were difference makers in the service rotation as the pair combined to drop all seven of the Golden Knight aces.
Trailing 13-8 in the opening frame, Saint Rose used long service streaks from Cavalcanti, junior defensive specialist 
Megan Mayer, and freshman setter 
Emma Strefling to spark a key 12-2 rally that allowed the Golden Knights to take the set by a four-point margin.
Saint Rose extended its match lead to 2-0 after holding the Purple Knights to a .056 strike percentage in the second stanza. In the third, a late push by Saint Michael's knotted the score even at 20-20 before Cavalcanti won the final five points from behind the line in the clinching 25-20 set victory.
Saint Michael's (1-13/0-10 NE10) received eight kills from senior outside hitter Abigail Gallagher on top of seven kills registered by junior middle blocker Beth Syverson. Saint Rose stifled the Purple Knights offense throughout the three sets, forcing the hosts into 22 attack errors.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose will next take the court on Senior Day, with the Golden Knights concluding the regular season at home against Le Moyne on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Saint Michael's travels to Adelphi on Friday for a 7:00 pm match-up with the Panthers.
Notes: Fripp's average of 0.95 blocks per set and the 0.79 blocks per set by Cavalcanti rank second and seventh in the NE10…As a team, Saint Rose leads the conference with 1.88 blocks per set...Fripp also holds the ninth-best strike rate in the league with a .291 swing percentage...Junior libero Gabriela Boyrie is 12th in the conference with 3.79 digs per set.
