ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose edged conference rival Le Moyne in five sets today, earning the 3-2 home win over the Dolphins. The Golden Knights earned the Senior Day victory by scores of 25-16, 24-26, 24-26, 25-18, and 15-9.

Freshman middle blocker
Julia Cavalcanti landed five aces and recorded 16 kills, one of four Golden Knights to tally 11 or more kills in the win. Smith registered 13 kills and Saint Rose received 11 kills each from the freshman pair of outside hitter
Juliana Venduro and middle blocker
Karleigh Fripp.Â
The Saint Rose (9-18/3-10 NE10) offense totaled 65 kills and finished with a .359 team strike percentage, while the defense and net presence caused the Dolphins to commit 26 attack errors.
Facing a 2-1 match deficit, the Golden Knight took the critical fourth set behind a strong service turn from Mayer midway that allowed Saint Rose to take seven-point victory and push the match to a fifth set. In the deciding fifth frame, Saint Rose won 11 of the final 16 points to close out the clinching stanza 15-9.
Senior middle blocker Lexi Petraitis led Le Moyne with 16 kills. Junior outside hitter Madeleine Kennedy and freshman outside hitter Emily LaRuffa totaled 13 and 10 kills respectively for the Dolphins (4-17/2-10 NE10).
