MANCHESTER, N.H- The College of Saint Rose dropped a three-set match on the road at Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm tonight. The host Hawks took the victory with set scores of 25-8, 25-16, and 25-19 to improve their record to 10-1 in home matches.
Saint Rose (7-18/1-10 NE10) received three kills each from freshman middle blocker

Megan Mayer. Cavalcanti also delivered two aces from behind the service line. Junior libero Gabriela Boyrie lifted 10 digs to lead all Saint Rose players.
Saint Anselm (16-6/6-3 NE10) earned the straight-set victory behind a .363 team strike percentage and a 44-13 kill advantage over the Golden Knights. Saint Rose struggled to build long offensive stretches while being limited to a -.063 hitting average as a team in the three sets.
Sophomore outside hitter Kaitlin Brown landed 12 kills and junior setter Michelle Henwood distributed 30 assists for the Hawks in the sweep. The Saint Anselm attack ranks amongst the best in the conference with an average of 12.91 kills per set (third-highest in the NE10) and .228 strike average (second-highest).
Both teams return to action with conference match-ups tomorrow at 1:00 pm. Saint Rose heads to Colchester, Vt. to take on Saint Michael's while the Hawks remain home to host Le Moyne.
Notes: Fripp's average of 0.98 blocks per set and the 0.80 blocks per set by Cavalcanti ranked second and seventh in the NE10…As a team, Saint Rose leads the conference with 1.91 blocks per set...Fripp also holds the 12th-best strike rate in the league with a .283 swing percentage...Junior libero Gabriela Boyrie is 12th in the conference with 3.69 digs per set.
