PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences outscored The College of Saint Rose by 22 points throughout the opening 10 minutes to hand the Golden Knights a 54-42 setback in tonight's season-opener for both squads at the USciences Conference Challenge.

Fifth year forward
Nina Fedullo had 11 points and six rebounds and sophomore forward
Naeva Rene finished with nine points and five boards for the Golden Knights (0-1) who had eight players see at least 12 minutes of playing time.

Senior guard Kendall Keyes tossed in 17 points and freshman guard Dayna Balasa contributed 13 points, on 5-for-8 shooting, in 19 minutes off the bench to lead the Devils (1-0) who have won four consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South Division titles.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose will wrap up its appearance at the tournament tomorrow with a noon tip-off versus Goldey-Beacom.
