#13 GOLDEN KNIGHTS ROLL TO TENTH WIN

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose generated a 21-7 shot advantage on the way to today's 4-1 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival Le Moyne to remain unbeaten on the year. Six different players figured in the scoring column for the Golden Knights (10-0-2/7-0-2 NE10) who have now posted 21 consecutive 10-win season.

"It was a great team effort today! There were many quality scoring opportunities created with combination play. It was great to see quality finishing from multiple players to help get a very good win on the road," said head coach Laurie Darling Gutheil.

Junior forward Kaelyn Britt, sophomore midfielders Lauren Amerena and Tatiana Leggiero, and sophomore back Sanna Rein accounted for the four tallies. Freshman midfielder Jen Bartlett and junior midfielder Janina Mueller each had an assist, while keeper Marika Laurendeau recorded three saves on the way to her 61st career win.

Saint Rose got off to a quick start as Britt finished a Bartlett feed and Amerena struck unassisted to make it a 2-0 game with only 13:24 elapsed.

The Dolphins (2-7-3/1-6-3 NE10) briefly made it interesting on a strike from junior midfielder Katharine Stanard in the opening two minutes of the second stanza.

However, the Golden Knights swiftly reestablished their two goal lead as Leggiero touched home a pass from Mueller to make it 3-1 with 50:21 expired. Rein converted a penalty kick at the 79:29 mark to close out the scoring.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights will host fellow unbeaten NE10 rival Southern New Hampshire Saturday in a match that will feature a pair of top-15 ranked clubs. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 pm from Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have an 11:00 am league date at Bentley on Saturday.
Notes: The Golden Knights come in at #13 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches National Poll and are one of a mere nine unbeaten NCAA Division II squads…Laurendeau is one shy of tying the school goalkeeper career win mark held by Jessica Gerski who recorded 62 victories between 2011-13…Laurendeau is third among NE10 keepers with a 0.48 goals-against-average on the year…She is sixth nationally with a league–best seven shutouts…Freshman forward Mia Klammer stands atop the NE10 with nine goals and 20 points, and came into today 24th in the country with a 0.80 goal scoring average and 33rd behind 1.82 points per game…She was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll Monday…Mueller is tied for the NE10 lead with six assists…Saint Rose has outscored its opponents 33-6 despite playing eight of its 12 contests on the road…The Golden Knights pace the NE10 in scoring offense and defense, with a 2.75 goal scoring average and a 0.47 team GAA…The latter mark places them among the top-10 in the country…12 players have accounted for the 33 goals and 17 have figured in the scoring column.
