ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose held visiting Saint Michael's to .086 hitting in today's 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-16) Northeast-10 Conference victory.
 
Senior outside hitter 
Stevie Schweitzer, one of three Saint Rose players recognized on Senior Day, led the Golden Knights (11-16/4-8 NE10) with ten kills on .333 hitting and nine digs. Schweitzer, fourth on the program's career kills list, served up four of the team's 15 aces on the day. Freshman outside hitter 
Ele'sia Williams added seven kills on .353 hitting, while junior middle hitter 
Kyla Archie, who tops the NE10 in blocking, totaled five kills and four blocks. Senior libero 
Tina Ceriello, the NE10 leader in digs and digs per set, topped all participants with 15 digs in the sweep.
"Our seniors have had great careers in our program," said Saint Rose Head Coach 
Vanessa Volpe-Rivera. "It's always a great feeling when you can walk away with a win and celebrate with your team and families. Our aggressive serving set the foundation for our strong defense today. I am very pleased with how the team played together to earn the win."
               
Sophomore middle hitter Grace Fornabia led Saint Michael's (1-18/0-11 NE10) with nine kills, while senior libero Tanner Barton registered 12 digs.
 
Saint Rose started the day slowly, but closed the first set on a 10-3 run to get on the board. After hitting .379 to take the second frame, the Golden Knights charged out to a 9-1 lead in the third set en route to their seventh blanking of the fall.
 
Looking ahead, Saint Rose concludes the regular season Saturday afternoon at Le Moyne. Fans unable to make it to Syracuse can watch the Upstate Challenge action on the 
NE10 NOW Network. Saint Michael's hosts Adelphi on Friday night and Pace University on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Day: Before today's match Ceriello, Schweitzer and 
Madison Gerace were recognized for their outstanding collegiate careers.
Notes:  Ceriello has NE10-bests of 518 digs and 5.34 digs per set…The Saint Rose co-captain ranks third in program records with 1,770 career digs…Archie tops the conference with 1.27 blocks per set…Her efforts help Saint Rose lead the NE10 in blocking…Schweitzer became just the fourth Saint Rose player to record 1,000 career kills last night vs. Saint Anselm…She is ranked second in the conference with 295 total kills and sits third on the circuit with 3.21 kills per set.
