WASHINGTON, D.C. - The College of Saint Rose shot 57.4 percent (17-of-47) from the field and had three players score in double figures in today's 77-64 victory at The University of the District of Columbia.

Senior forward
Leah Dollard led the Golden Knights (5-7) by equaling a career-high with 24 points in the road win. She added nine rebounds and four assists, also a career-best, while going 12-of-15 at the foul line. Junior forward
Nina Fedullo, among the Northeast-10 Conference leaders in multiple statistical categories, tossed in a "double-double" of 17 points, on eight-of-nine shooting, and 11 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Becca Townes chipped in with 12 points, while senior guard
Takora McIntyre filled up the box score, compiling eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

"Today was a great road win for our team," said Head Coach
Karen Haag. "We got some big contributions from our veterans, and solid minutes from our bench."

Following a tight first half, Saint Rose commenced the third quarter on a 13-3 run. The 4:40 stretch gave the Black and Gold a double-digit advantage and helped keep the host Firebirds at a distance the rest of the way. The Golden Knights, which limited District of Columbia to 31.6 percent (12-of-38) shooting in the second half, led by at least eight points during the final 12:46.

Junior guard Maya Thomas topped the Firebirds (3-11) with 18 points.

Looking ahead, both teams have road games on deck. Saint Rose faces American International on Wednesday, January 8 at 5:30 pm. Fans that are unable to make it to Springfield, Mass. to attend the NE10 Â game can watch all the action live on the
