SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The College of Saint Rose limited host American International to 24.1 percent shooting to pick up this evening's 65-54 Northeast-10 Conference win.
 
The Golden Knights (6-7/1-5 NE10), which had four players score in double figures, used a 20-5 run across a 5:24 stretch spanning the start of the fourth quarter to take control of the game. American International (4-11/1-6 NE10) was unable to get closer than six from there.
Sophomore guard 
Becca Townes led Saint Rose with 16 points. She registered ten of her points in the fourth quarter, including making a pair of 3-pointers during the game-turning run. Junior forward 
Nina Fedullo added 15 points and six rebounds. Senior forward 
Leah Dollard and senior guard 
Cameron Graupman recorded 11 points apiece. Graupman led all participants with nine rebounds and three blocks, both career-highs, and four assists.     
"Tonight was a gritty team win," said Head Coach 
Karen Haag. "We had a great finish and showed poise and resilience late. I'm proud of our group."
Junior guard Destine Perry paced the Yellow Jackets, who lost their fifth straight, with 20 points. Freshman guard Kayla Robinson tossed in 12.
 
Looking ahead, both teams have home 1:30pm NE10 games Saturday.  Saint Rose will host Assumption, while American International entertains Franklin Pierce. Fans that are unable to make it to Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to attend the game can watch the Golden Knights live on the 
NE10 NOW Network.
Notes: Tonight's opposing field goal percentage was the second-lowest of the season...Saint Rose held Felician to 21.1 percent shooting from the field on Nov. 17...The Golden Knights are now 3-1 when opponents shoot 20.0 percent or less from beyond the arc...Dollard and Fedullo were named to Monday's NE10 weekly honor roll…Fedullo began the week fifth in the league with a 9.2 rebounding average and second with a 58.0 field goal percentage (58-of-100)…She has averaged 15.8 points and 10.2 rebounds across the last five games…Dollard tops the team in scoring at 13.2 points per-game.
