ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose dropped today's Northeast-10 Conference match to visiting New Haven 3-1 (25-18, 15-25, 25-16, 25-22).

Senior outside hitter
Stevie Schweitzer recorded a double-double of 15 kills and 17 digs to lead the Golden Knights (7-7/1-1 NE10). The freshmen setting duo of
Valeria Jorge (26) and
Allison Sellers (13) dished out a combined 39 assists, while senior libero
Tina Ceriello, who entered the weekend as the NE10 leader in digs and digs per set, topped all participants with 23 digs.

New Haven (6-5/2-0 NE10) had a trio of players register double-digits in kills. Senior right side Mallory Nowicki led the way with 12 kills on .462 hitting, while sophomore outside hitter Ruby Ferra added a double-double of 11 kills and 15 digs. Freshman setter Sammie Paguia distributed 23 assists, while junior setter Angela Chan doled out 18 helpers. Â

After dropping the opening stanza, Saint Rose got out to an 11-4 second set lead to tie the match. The Chargers responded,  holding the Black and Gold to .072 hitting the rest of the way. Despite the stiffening UNH defense, Saint Rose didn't quit, using a 9-2 run to tie the fourth set at 22 before falling.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights travel to Pleasantville, N.Y. Wednesday for an NE10 match at Pace University. Those unable to attend the 7:00pm start can watch the action on the
NE10NOW Network. New Haven is home Thursday for a non-league contest with Caldwell.
