SAINT ROSE SUFFERS JUST SECOND SETBACK OF 2019

RINDGE, N.H. - The College of Saint Rose fell for just the second time this autumn with today's 2-0 setback at Franklin Pierce, which improved to 3-0 at home.

Sophomore keeper Ryan Henning recorded a pair of saves and freshman forward Daniel Rechni manufactured a pair of shots for the Golden Knights (5-2/1-1 NE10).

Meanwhile, senior midfielder Javier Garcia Borris touched home the game-winner at the 14:06 mark when he collected a long feed from senior keeper Thomas Clay and drove a shot from the top of the box inside the far left post. Junior forward Yannik Felber then headed home a corner from the left flag off the foot of senior forward Javier Gonzalez Carraminana midway through the second half.

Looking ahead, both sides have 4:00 pm NE10 road matches Tuesday. The Golden Knights visit New Haven, while the Ravens head to Syracuse to face Le Moyne.
Notes: Saint Rose is ranked #7 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Poll.
