#12 SAINT ROSE REMAINS UNBEATEN


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The College of Saint Rose, ranked #12 in this week's United Soccer Coaches National Poll, remained unbeaten by upending host Northeast-10 Conference rival American International 3-1 this evening.
 
The Golden Knights (4-0-1/1-0-1 NE10) scored a pair of goals 17 minutes apart in the latter stages of the first half to take a 2-0 lead at intermission. The Yellow Jackets (1-3/0-2 NE10) got on the board in the opening seven minutes of the second stanza, before Saint Rose added an insurance marker.
 
Senior forward Nina Predanic accounted for what proved to be the game-winner with 41:59 gone by after junior midfielder Ciera Lundy struck for the game's first goal. Senior forward Caitlyn Dabagian closed out the scoring at the 68:48 mark when she finished a feed from Predanic.
 
Senior midfielder Eva Frazzoni picked up an assist on Lundy's goal, while sophomore forward Kaelyn Britt set up Predanic's game-winner. Junior keeper Marika Laurendeau recorded seven saves between the posts.
 
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights are off until next Tuesday when they host conference rival Pace University at 6:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets visit Florida National University for a 5:00 pm date Friday in Hialeah, Fla.
Notes: Laurendeau was named to NE10 weekly honor roll Monday…Saint Rose is the top-ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll…Twelve players have figured in the team's scoring thus far…The Golden Knights have now outscored their opponents by a 15-3 margin on the year.
