SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose brought the go-ahead run to the plate in the seventh before dropping today's Northeast-10 Conference game at Le Moyne 4-2.
Senior outfielder
Astasia Myler continued her hot streak at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored in the setback. Myler, who was named to Monday's NE10 weekly honor roll, is batting .941 (16-for-17) across the last five games.
The Golden Knights (12-22/5-13 NE10) began the Upstate Challenge contest with a great opportunity, loading the bases with nobody out in the first. However, Le Moyne sophomore right-hander Lauren Nichols managed to escape the jam without allowing a run.

Le Moyne (21-15/13-6 NE10) put across a pair of runs in the second. With one out, senior outfielder Madison DeRita doubled in junior infielder Chelsie Delperuto. She came around to score on a single by sophomore shortstop Kelly LaForce. Back-to-back solo home runs by senior outfielder Lauren Zazzaro and junior designated player Peyton Bellrose increased the Dolphin advantage in the third.
Saint Rose didn't go quietly in the seventh, filling the bases with one out. Freshman designated player
Samantha Allen came through, singling in Myler and freshman catcher
Katie Drogo for the final margin.Â

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is scheduled to complete its suspended game at Pace University tomorrow at 4:00 pm. The Golden Knights are currently ahead 4-2 in the top of the second. Le Moyne plays a 1:00 pm twin-bill at Adelphi on Friday.
