ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose dropped today's Northeast-10 Conference game 7-0 to Adelphi.
The Adelphi (21-15/13-4 NE10) bats got going early in the Sunday matinee. After getting on the board in the first, freshman infielder Emily Whitman drove a two-run homer to left-center in the third. The rookie increased the Panthers' advantage in the fifth with an RBI single. She finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBI.
Senior catcher Nicoletta Cuccio increased the lead with a sixth inning solo homer down the left field line. She scored three runs out of the lead-off spot while the Adelphi three thru six hitters had two hits apiece.
Sophomore right-hander Ally Muller (W, 14-6) struck out eight Golden Knights in her complete game three-hitter.

Both teams are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon home doubleheaders. Saint Rose (11-18/5-10 NE10) hosts Mercy at 2:30 pm, while Adelphi entertains New Haven at 2:00 pm.
