COLUMBIA, S.C. – The College of Saint Rose scored in all but the sixth and ninth innings to upend host Benedict College 16-12 yesterday.

Garrett Klahr, sophomore third baseman

Brian Hill, and Fils-Aime each had two hits. Additionally, freshman catcher
Max Gebauer drew four walks.

On the mound, junior right-hander
John Braun fanned eight and surrendered only three earned runs throughout 6.1 innings of work to pick up the win.

The Golden Knights (2-5) rallied from a 5-3 deficit by scoring five times in the third and three times in both the fourth and fifth innings. Fils-Aime stroked a two-run double in the third, while Teitter smacked a leadoff double in the fifth.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose begins its weekend residency at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. tonight with a 7:00 pm game versus Clarion. Meanwhile, the Tigers (2-2) have a 3:00 pm game Saturday against Penn College in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
